Glass Onion Studios was founded in 1990 by husband & wife team David Johnson & Debbie Austin-Johnson. While starting out as a stained glass studio, we have recently evolved into a bead store with the largest selection of beads in the Fox Cities. We carry a great selection of lamp worked beads, fused dichroic, semi-precious stones, wide variety of sizes and colors of seed beads, fresh water pearls, crystals, sterling and bali silver, components and Czech glass. We offer a wide variety of classes with award winning bead instructors.

Teachers
KATHERINE CROWLEY-PECKHAM

Katherine began beading ten years ago when she felt the desire to create purses similar to the Victorian era purses she had been collecting for years. She first taught herself loom work, and then moved on to bead kniting, crochet, and along the way learned wirework and various seed bead stitches. We were very excited when she was selected for a second year, as a finalist in The Bead & Button's Bead Dreams competition (image below).

In April 2005, her beaded necklace entitled "Off To The Theater" was published in Bead & Button Magazine. Katherine is an Principal with the Appleton Area School District and when not beading, she enjoys time with her family, gardening, quilting and reading...anything but cooking and cleaning!
